I met Pika as a young Pikachu in the Viridian Forest of the Kanto region. I had just won the Pokémon League Championships in Johto, and I was making a quick run through on my way to meet an old friend, Professor Oak. Suddenly, out of the corner of my eye, I noticed my faithful Typhlosion, Cinder. He was looking around, turning his head in small, jerky movements. Almost as though he could sense something approaching. I have never doubted Cinder's instincts. As I began to turn, sure enough, a small cry was heard.

"Pikaaaa!"

I came face to face with a Level 4 Pikachu! Now, I LOVE Pikachu, so of course I couldn't resist battling it. Professor Oak would have to wait.

Cinder was WAY too strong to send out against the low-level Pikachu, so I tried a Quick Ball. A Quick Ball can catch a Pokémon easily on the first turn of battle.

SUCCESS!

After over two years of being a part of my team, he has since grown to Level 100, the highest level of strength a Pokémon can achieve, and evolved into Raichu. He is a star member of my Kanto Ultimate Team and is a great friend. He can get a bit arrogant and hotheaded at times, but hey, we still love him! His attacks include Thunder, Iron Tail, and Focus Blast.
