Hearthstone is a tcg game or Trading Card Game. In this game you start with a deck of 30 cards. You start with 1 mana crystal and 5 cards depending if you go first or last if you go last you get this thing called The Magic Token increasing your mana crystal by 1 for 1 round. After every round ends you gain 1 card and 1 mana crystal. You are given 30 health. If your oponent takes out all your health first you lose.
