The pickups in the ESP are special humbuckers by the brand EMG that really make this guitar separate itself from the PRS and Gibson guitars. They are more sensitive which makes a noisegate very necessary, but also distorts the sounds better and allows for a tone that suits the most hardcore metal and nu-metal enthusiasts. This particular model from the ESP line up is specially contoured to allow for free movement on the stage and also cuts weight without compromising tonality.

Then Engl Savage has wrath glowing red from deep inside its chassis and proves as a great stage amp with its 4x12 cabinet. Pushing 120 watts, it begins to make PA equipment and external speakers obsolete. It is louder than the Marshall JVM and the Mesa Boogies. The only other amps that are louder would be full stacked amps powered by the Mesa Boogie Triple Rectifier. The reason this amp is better than the Triple Rec is because the 120 watt power section is a happy medium over the 100 range and the tubes still break up earlier. To get a classic analog tube amp sound out of a Triple Rectifier it has to be cranked up to an incredibly loud level not suitable for playing in a practice setting in a house.
